The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared the incumbent governor of Osun State and candidate of the Accord Party, Ademola Adeleke, winner of the 2026 governorship election in the state.
The declaration was made in the early hours of Sunday by the INEC Returning Officer for the election and Vice-Chancellor of the Federal University Oye-Ekiti, Professor Joshua Olalekan Ogunwole, following the collation of results from the 30 local government areas of the state.
Adeleke polled 511,067 votes to defeat his closest challenger and the candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Oyebamiji, who secured 444,815 votes.

According to the results announced by INEC, Adeleke won 19 of the 30 local government areas, while Oyebamiji secured victory in 11 local governments.
Adeleke’s victory came in Ayedaade, Ayedire, Boluwaduro, Ede North, Ede South, Egbedore, Ejigbo, Ife Central, Ife East, Ife North, Ifedayo, Ifelodun, Ila, Ilesa West, Iwo, Odo-Otin, Oriade, Orolu and Osogbo.
