Veteran Nollywood actor, Taiwo Hassan, who is popularly known as Ogogo, has reportedly been diagnosed with Stage 4 cancer, according to a video shared by his daughter.
The actor’s daughter, Shakirat Taiwo, aka Kira Taiwo, disclosed the heartbreaking development in a video in which she appealed for assistance for her father’s treatment.
She clarified that the family was not seeking financial donations, noting that a National Assembly member representing Ogun West, Senator Solomon Ademola, popularly known as Yayi, had been supporting them financially and helping with the actor’s medical bills.
According to her, the family was seeking individuals who could assist with alternative treatment options, including traditional herbs or orthodox medicine.
The daughter’s appeal comes amid reports that the condition of the Ilaro, Ogun State-born actor has become critical.
Stage 4 cancer means the disease has spread from its original location to distant parts of the body. This process is called metastasis.
