Turkish club, Trabzonspor, have reportedly set a €30 million asking price for Super Eagles striker Paul Onuachu amid renewed interest from Saudi Arabia.
Onuachu returned to Trabzonspor permanently last summer after a successful loan spell from Southampton during the 2023-24 season.
The 32-year-old enjoyed an outstanding campaign, scoring 26 goals in all competitions. His 22 league goals also saw him share the Turkish Super Lig Golden Boot with Istanbul Basaksehir’s Eldor Shomurodov.
Despite his impressive form, uncertainty remains over his future at the Turkish club as the transfer window enters its final weeks.
Reports indicate that Trabzonspor are now willing to consider his departure if their €30 million valuation is met.
Saudi Pro League club Al Ahli are reportedly among the leading contenders for his signature, with further discussions between the clubs expected.
Onuachu is said to be open to a move, although any transfer will depend on the interested club meeting Trabzonspor’s financial demands.
Trabzonspor had previously been determined to keep their leading scorer and reportedly rejected two offers for him.
However, the club’s position could change if they complete a deal for former Liverpool striker Darwin Nunez from Al Hilal.
The arrival of a high-profile replacement could make Trabzonspor more comfortable with allowing Onuachu to leave.
Al Hilal could also enter the market for another striker if reports of Karim Benzema’s possible departure materialise.
For now, however, Onuachu’s future remains uncertain, with a €30 million fee reportedly standing between him and a move away from Trabzonspor.
