Veteran journalist, public relations guru and communication strategist, Oloye Lekan Alabi, is dead.
Alabi, who held the traditional title of Abese of Ibadanland, reportedly passed away on Saturday morning at the age of 76.
A highly respected figure in journalism and public communication, the late Alabi served as Press Secretary to several former governors of Oyo State.
He was widely known for his contributions to the media profession, public service, and for upholding the traditions and culture of Ibadanland.
Beyond his career in journalism, Alabi was a respected cultural ambassador and traditional title holder.
Family sources confirmed that he would be buried on Sunday in accordance with Islamic rites.
The Palace of the Olubadan of Ibadanland announced his passing in a statement signed by the Media Aide to the Olubadan, Adeola Oloko.
