Mrs Rachael Alamu, the principal of Community High School, Esiele, Oriire Local Government Area of Oyo State, has been gifted a brand new Toyota Camry car following her release from captivity.
Mrs. Alamu, who was abducted alongside 46 teachers and pupils when gunmen attacked three schools on May 15, 2026, received the donation from the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Oyo State, Sharafadeen Abiodun Alli.
Photos shared by Ibadan-based radio station Yes FM on Monday showed Alli presenting the vehicle alongside the member representing Afijio/Oyo East/Oyo West/Atiba Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Akeem Adeyemi.
Prior to the donation, Mrs Alamu was receiving treatment at the Military Hospital in Ibadan after regaining her freedom.
After the rescue, a video shared online showed the visibly emotional principal asking security operatives about her husband and her vehicle. Officers quickly assured her that her family was safe and comforted her after the traumatic experience.
