Nigerian online streamer and content creator, Habeeb Hamzat, popularly known as Peller, has recounted his ordeal in police detention, saying he spent nearly four days without food or access to bath in custody.

The 21-year-old TikToker shared his account in a series of posts on Snapchat after regaining his freedom on Tuesday.

Peller and his friend, Bello Oladipo, were arrested last Friday by the police in the Lekki area of Lagos State over allegations of driving a tinted vehicle without a number plate along the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road.

On Monday, the duo were arraigned before a Lagos Magistrate Court on a three-count charge bordering on resisting arrest, obstructing police officers from carrying out their lawful duties, and threatening as well as filming officers during an operation.

The court subsequently granted Peller bail for the sum of ₦500,000 with two sureties.

The court also directed that one of the sureties must be a blood relative, and both must provide tax clearance certificates covering the previous two years.
