Nollywood star Tayo Odueke, popularly known as Sikiratu Sindodo, has debunked rumours of a rift between her and her industry colleague, Faithia Williams.
The actress spoke during a recent interview while reacting to a viral video clip suggesting that the two actresses had a misunderstanding at an event.
Odueke described Williams as her sister and said they remain close friends, adding that there was no disagreement between them.
“Myself and Aunty Faithia are in good spirits. She’s my sister and we are very close. I was surprised to see that video and the narration going around the internet. In fact, we sat down together at the event and even danced together.
“The clip making rounds wasn’t complete because she was dancing and maybe mistakenly hit my head tie, which I looked up to see who it was and I realised she was the one, so I moved on. There’s no issues between us,” she said.
Odueke also recounted how she almost lost the role that brought her to the limelight, revealing that she initially struggled to interpret the character.
According to her, some people on the set questioned why the producer had entrusted such a scene to her as a newcomer.
“When I started acting the character on set, I didn’t get it right. So, some people on the set started saying all sorts of things, like why would the producer insist on giving me such a scene as a newbie.
“But my boss, Taiwo Hassan Ogogo, encouraged me and I went to relax and then prayed. By the time I returned to the set, I played the character perfectly,” she said.
