PDP ‘ll Restore Happy Days In Nigeria –Adebutu

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Ogun State, Hon. Oladipupo Adebutu, has assured that the party will bring happy days back to Nigeria if voted into power in the 2027 general elections.

Adebutu, who spoke on Wednesday during the flag-off of the party’s campaigns for the 2027 Presidential and National Assembly elections at the Ake Pavilion in Abeokuta, noted that the best times in the country were experienced under PDP administrations.

At the event which was witnessed by a mammoth crowd of party members and supporters, the PDP also unveiled its candidates for Senate and House of Representatives, including Senator Iyabo Obasanjo (Ogun Central), Toyin Amuzu (Abeokuta South Federal Constituency), Dele Olaleye (Abeokuta North/Obafemi-Owode/Odeda Federal Constituency) and Olumide Jones (Ifo/Ewekoro Federal Constituency).

Adebutu, who represented the PDP presidential candidate in 2027, Senator Sandy Onor, vowed that the party will banish poverty and hunger in the country.

According to him, Nigerians have endured years of hardship under the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and deserve relief.

He urged the citizens to turn out en masse to vote for PDP candidates on January 16, 2027, protect their votes and resist Intimidation.

Adebutu said, “We have to remind Nigerians that all the best times of Nigeria were under the leadership of our great party, Peoples Democratic Party, exemplified by what Baba (Olusegun) Obasanjo did and passed on to his successors.”

“Now, I assure you: happy days are coming again, very, very soon. In January (2027), a new dawn will break for the betterment of Nigeria.”

“I, therefore, urge you all to make up your mind to reject this oppressive APC government with your votes. You must chart a better tomorrow for yourself and your children.”

The PDP chieftain posited that if hunger is eventually banished, the security situation of the country will tremendously improve.

Adebutu eulogised Senator Obasanjo, describing her as a tested and trusted candidate that would engender purposeful representation at the National Assembly.

He said Ogun Central Senatorial District must “bid farewell to non-performance” and vote for liberation.

On her part, Senator Obasanjo promised to deliver greater dividends of democracy and people-centred legislation if elected at the next polls.

She expressed satisfaction that residents across multiple communities she visited continued to acknowledge her record while representing Ogun Central Senatorial District, including her interventions that lifted many constituents out of poverty.

She assured the people that her office would remain accessible and responsive to their needs.
