#OsunDecides2026: INEC Begins Uploading Election Results To IREV

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has begun uploading results of the Osun State governorship election to the INEC Result View (IREV) portal.

Incumbent governor and candidate of the Accord Party, Ademola Adeleke; candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Oyebamiji; and candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Najeem Salam, are the major contenders in the election where 15 political parties participated.

Over 1.9 million eligible residents collected their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) out of the over 2.3 million registered voters across the state.

A little over two hours after polls closed on Saturday, INEC has successfully uploaded results from about 658 polling units (27.49 per cent of the total) to the portal, with Osogbo Local Government recording the highest results.

There are about 3,763 polling units across the 30 local government areas of Osun State, with Osogbo having the highest number at 282, followed by Ife Central with 215 and Ife East with 200.

Ola Oluwa has the lowest number of polling units with 62, followed by Boluwaduro with 74, Atakamusa West with 76, Atakamusa East with 77, and Orolu with 84.

As of the time of filing this report, Osogbo has recorded result uploads from 70, Ife East from 49, and Ife Central from 58.
