Nigeria’s Super Eagles have dropped four places in the latest men’s FIFA ranking released by the world football governing body on Wednesday.
The Super Eagles, who were previously ranked 26th in the world, have now slipped to 30th position.
Eric Chelle’s team also suffered a decline in the African rankings, moving from fourth to sixth place on the continent.
Nigeria are now ranked behind Morocco, Egypt, Senegal, Algeria and Côte d’Ivoire.
The Super Eagles have played three matches in recent weeks, recording one victory, one draw and one defeat.
Chelle’s side began the run with a 2-1 victory over Madagascar before suffering a 3-0 defeat to Guinea-Bissau.
Nigeria then ended the international window on a positive note, fighting back to secure a thrilling 3-3 draw against Russia in Tuesday’s international friendly.
