2027: D’Banj Donates Campaign Vehicles To Gov Adeleke’s Associate

Popular Nigerian singer Dapo Oyebanjo, professionally known as D’Banj, has donated three brand-new Sienna space buses to lawyer and politician Pelumi Olajengbesi in support of his ambition to represent the Oriade-Obokun Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives in 2027.

The singer presented the vehicles to Olajengbesi in Osogbo, the Osun State capital, on Thursday.

Olajengbesi served as the campaign spokesman for the re-election bid of Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke in the August 15, 2026 governorship election.

In a Facebook post on Friday, the politician, who is also the convener of Imole Grassroots Mobilisation Network in Osun State, described the donation as a surprise and significant show of support.

According to him, D’Banj had contacted him about two weeks earlier to obtain the details of the person responsible for his campaign branding.

Olajengbesi, 40, said he believed the request was for D’Banj’s CREAM project, which is focused on supporting young creatives, and subsequently shared the contact.

He said he was surprised when he later received three fully branded Sienna buses from the singer.

“It’s my token of support,” Olajengbesi quoted D’Banj as saying when he contacted him after receiving the vehicles.

Expressing appreciation, Olajengbesi said the gesture was a demonstration of support for his political journey.

The development comes amid growing public support for Olajengbesi’s bid for the Oriade-Obokun Federal Constituency seat which he previously contested in 2019.

Afrobeats star David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, had also previously endorsed Olajengbesi’s ambition.
